Its It Time to Digitize?

by Bob Dasal

For thirty-one years the readers of Pulpit Helps (PH) have received their print copy via mail on a monthly basis. Seven years ago PH Online went live and our Website counter shows over 1,150,000 hits. We are always thrilled to hear from our readers and learn how the print and online versions are an encouragement to so many pastors and helpful to them in their ministry.

We need your help in deciding if we need a digitized version of PH and if it would be of help to you in your ministry. The question you're probably asking is, "What do you mean digitized version'?" We're witnessing a major transition in the way information is delivered to people and most publishers now offer a digitized version of their publication.

In a digitized version the look and content of PH would be identical to the print version. The difference would be the way it comes to you. Every month, you would receive your print copy in your mailbox, and the digital version via the Internet. The columns, articles, news, mission reports, sermon starters, illustrations, and bulletin inserts would be on exactly the same pages as in the print version. This is especially helpful with the sermon starters, illustrations, and bulletin inserts. The online version stores these items in a database you have to search by topic. In the digital version they would be immediately available and easy to locate.

We do not want to take anything away. Our goal is give added value to your Pulpit Helps subscription. Subscribers could opt to receive PH any/or all the ways it is delivered. Receive the print version in the mail to read at your leisure; the digital version via email and the Internet to assist in Bible study and/or sermon preparation. The online version is always there at to assist as you research the PH archives.

Your input is IMPORTANT and I want to thank you for your quick response. You can call (800)251-7206, ext. 261, email, or write to The Editors, Pulpit Helps Magazine, 6815 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

This is the question: would a digitized version of Pulpit Helps Magazine be of interest and/or help to you in your ministry? The answer is as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Yes, I would like to receive a digitized copy as well as a print copy.

2. No, I only want to continue to receive the print copy and have access to the online edition.

3. I'm still not sure what you mean when you say, "digital version."

Thank you for your response and to show our appreciation we will add an additional 3 months to the subscription of all who respond. Be sure to include your name and address in your response.

Remember -together we serve Him!!!
