A Web site established by Seattle lawyer Randy Finney now makes it possible for couples desiring to dissolve their marriage to get a divorce on-line while sitting at their computer. The idea outrages Dennis Rainey, executive director of Focus on the Family's Family Life Today. "He wants to make it where you can go online and literally be able to dissolve a marriage and a family without ever having to show up anywhere," Rainey said.
Citizen Link said that half of the 1.2 million divorces granted each year are accomplished without a lawyer representing at least one spouse. Finney admits his site is not for those involved in custody battles or property issues.
