An evangelistic ministry is going into the heart of Central Asia with a mission to share the truth of the gospel with the children. Book of Hope's Rob Hoskins says copies of the Bible will soon be distributed to school-aged children across Kazakhstan. In light of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the ministry is taking a different approach, bringing a message of love to Muslim children who are "filled with hate and anger" Hoskins says. Russian teams have targeted Kazakhstan in a new program aimed to plant a dozen new churches. "We feel like this is a crucial time in Central Asia because we have an opportunity to do evangelism there right now in many places," Hoskins says. "In Kazakhstan alone we'll be going in and handing out more than 1 million Scripture portions to children and youth."
