Christian Book Sales Soar After Attack

Sales of Christian books, Bibles and books on prophecy are on an upswing that began soon after the terrorist attacks last month. The News-Journal of Daytona Beach, Fla., reports that industry leaders expect the surge to continue through Christmas. Cris Doornbos, a Zondervan Publishing House executive, said, "People certainly turn to religion because they believe it is something of a bedrock." Bible sales are up between 27 and 30 percent, reports Berean and Family Christian Stores. Sales of books on prophecy are up 80 percent since the terrorist attacks.
