Praise: While much of Africa is wracked by bloodshed, civil war, and AIDS, Cameroon is an oasis in the midst of trouble, says David Shibley of Global Advance. "There doesn't seem to be a great deal of conflict in the country, and it's a conducive climate for the gospel right now." Shibley said the church in Cameroon has matured to the point of developing an indigenous missions movement to evangelize the unreached, not only within the country's borders but beyond, including North Africa. "The churches have an unusual high level of cooperation," Shibley said. "I believe that is why there's a tremendous move of God's spirit right now, wonderful church growth is happening; very vigorous church planting."
