Pray: Dr. Henry Blackaby, author of the "Experiencing God" study series, says this is the most biblically illiterate generation he's witnessed in 40 years of ministry. However, he sees hope for American Christianity through his contact with the Christian leaders of corporate America. "God's people do not know the Scriptures. And they're not guiding their lives by the Scripture," Blackaby said. "They're guiding it by psychology and sociology….God intended that the people of God shape the world, and right now it's the other way around."
Blackaby believes the greatest work of God will be in corporate America. "The last great awakening in America was in 1857 and 1858, and that was a businessman's revival in Manhattan, N.Y. Within six months 30,000 businessmen in New York were praying for a mighty move of God. That spread all across America." Blackaby is working with an associate, reaching more than 60 CEOs of the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies in America.
