Strange, Isn't It?...

by Unknown Author

That men still today

Honor His birth, but reject His way?

Born in a stall; borrowed His grave,

Parents poor peasants…His life He gave.

No book He wrote, no army commanded,

No senate addressed, no throne He demanded.

Strange, isn't it…that men still today

Honor His birth but reject His way?

Stranger still, how men can ignore

The fact that their sins this humble One bore;

Sinless and perfect, the lone Son of God

Leaving His glory this earth He trod,

Bearing the shame of so humble a birth;

Nailed to the sky He expired on earth

Rising in glory, power, and might

Promising hope, redemption, and light.

Strangest of all…He is coming again

This same lowly Jesus, rejected of men;

Coming in power and glory to reign,

Coming to set up His kingdom again;

Coming to meet His chosen bride

The church He redeemed to be at His side.

Strange, isn't it…that men still today

Honor His birth, but reject His way?
