How to Read the Bible Book by Book

by Glen H. Jones

As the title suggests, this is a handbook which provides a general overview of each of the biblical books. For each book, the reader is provided with a thumbnail sketch, a brief overview, some hints to help the reader, and a walk through the various sections of the book. This volume should prove a valuable resource for the student who does not have an overall grasp of the biblical framework. The Old Testament books are divided into Narratives (Genesis through Esther), Writings (Job through Lamentations), and Prophets (Isaiah through Malachi). The New Testament books are divided into two sections: the Gospels and Acts and the Epistles and the Revelation. At the back of the book will be found a glossary of terms and the authors' chronology of the biblical books.
